Dr. Piedra was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She attended the Institute of Agricultural Science and earned her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. In 2009, she moved to the United States and worked in the veterinary field for three years. After fulfilling all of the requirements from the American Vet Med Association, she received her full accreditation to practice veterinary medicine in the US in 2014. She has been married for more than 17 years and has a beautiful family: a son, a daughter, and her two rescues, Mona, her cat, and Chiwi, her Chorkie. In her free time, Dr. Piedra enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and pets.

Alain is a Partner and Director at Miami Pet Clinic. He manages all operational aspects for the development of the clinic. Before working in the veterinary field, Alain worked for six years as a Clinic Supervisor at a multi-location practice in Miami. He loves interacting with owners and their pets. He has many dreams and ambitions, but one of them is helping pets in need by leading care forward. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, biking, and traveling. He lives with his wife, twins, dog (Juicy), and bird (Sunny), but he is looking forward to expanding his animal family!

Marisela has been a veterinary technician with Miami Pet Clinic since March 2017. She graduated from the Superior Institute of Agricultural Science in 1986, with her degree in veterinary medicine. She moved the US in 2016 and shortly after started working as a veterinary technician. Animals have always been her passion, she enjoys working emergency/ critical cases and being part of the patient’s recovery. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, studying/ learning new things and traveling.

Crystal is one of three receptionists at Miami Pet Clinic. Her passion for animals started at an early age as she has been around animals throughout her life, from dogs to cats and even horses. She loves the individuality of each animal. At home, Cristal has two dogs, Mila and Koa, and a cat named Polo, whom she considers family. Outside of work, Cristal enjoys going to the beach and spending quality time with her son and pets.

Stephanie is one of our three Receptions here at Miami Pet Clinic and has been a part of our team for the past year. Stephanie has always had a passion for animal care and is currently studying to become a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She is a dog/cat mom of three, including a Chihuahua named Tinker Bell, a black Labrador named Maya, a rescue cat named Uno, and a leopard gecko named Hedwig Striped. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as going to the Science Museum.

Sandra is one of our receptionists at Miami Pet Clinic. She is currently a student at Florida International University obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, and she will be graduating by July of 2022. She plans to pursue her dream in the field of veterinary medicine as she hopes to one day become a veterinarian. She has always been interested in the life of animals. The opportunity to work in a veterinary practice was presented to her about four years ago. Ever since, her love for animals has grown, which is what led her to her career goals. In her free time, she likes to go to animal sanctuaries.

Crystabel is one of our veterinary technicians and has been a part of the Miami Pet Clinic team since January 2021. She was born and raised in Miami and dreams of one day having her own veterinary practice. She is currently the owner of a beige tabby cat who goes by the name of Chulo. When she isn’t working, she enjoys fishing and spending time with her wife and family.

Dayanis is a veterinary technician that has been a part of the team at Miami Pet Clinic since July of 2021. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from the Superior Institute of Agricultural Science of Havana, Cuba in 1993. She came to the United States in September 2014 and has been working as a veterinary technician ever since. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her four cats and her family.
