Miami Pet Clinic is proud to be your local resource for veterinary care, including wellness visits, dentistry and 24 hour animal emergencies. Our veterinary hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic tools, a surgical suite and a caring, compassionate team.

Dr. Maritza Piedra

D.V.M.

Dr. Maritza Piedra D.V.M.

Dr. Piedra was born and raised in Havana, Cuba. She attended the Institute of Agricultural Science and earned her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. In 2009, she moved to the United States and worked in the veterinary field for three years. After fulfilling all of the requirements from the American Vet Med Association, she received her full accreditation to practice veterinary medicine in the US in 2014. She has been married for more than 17 years and has a beautiful family: a son, a daughter, and her two rescues, Mona, her cat, and Chiwi, her Chorkie. In her free time, Dr. Piedra enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and pets.

Alain Diaz

Alain Diaz

Alain is a Partner and Director at Miami Pet Clinic. He manages all operational aspects for the development of the clinic. Before working in the veterinary field, Alain worked for six years as a Clinic Supervisor at a multi-location practice in Miami. He loves interacting with owners and their pets. He has many dreams and ambitions, but one of them is helping pets in need by leading care forward. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, biking, and traveling. He lives with his wife, twins, dog (Juicy), and bird (Sunny), but he is looking forward to expanding his animal family!

Marisela

Marisela

Marisela has been a veterinary technician with Miami Pet Clinic since March 2017. She graduated from the Superior Institute of Agricultural Science in 1986, with her degree in veterinary medicine. She moved the US in 2016 and shortly after started working as a veterinary technician. Animals have always been her passion, she enjoys working emergency/ critical cases and being part of the patient’s recovery. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, studying/ learning new things and traveling.

Dayanis

Dayanis Arrazcaeta

Dayanis is a veterinary technician that has been a part of the team at Miami Pet Clinic since July of 2021. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine from the Superior Institute of Agricultural Science of Havana, Cuba in 1993. She came to the United States in September 2014 and has been working as a veterinary technician ever since. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her four cats and her family.
